Town of Swampscott
Swampscott has a population of 15,111 (2020 census). It is governed by a Representative Town Meeting and a Select Board with 5 members. The Select Board is responsible for the preparation and approval of the final Town Meeting warrant and recommendations to Town Meeting for approval, disapproval or other appropriate action on each article contained in such warrant presented to Town Meeting.

Thereafter, until the next redistricting, 18 members are elected from each of the 6 precincts, for 3 year terms. For more information, see Swampscott’s Town Meeting Guide (pdf).
